A late winter flowering shrub, it flowers on bare wood. Having healing properties, the Witch Hazel it often mistaken for common hazel. Flower colours available are pale yellow to gold, to orange and red. An interesting addition to any garden.
With leaves that are very similar to the common Hazel, it’s easy to see why there can be some confusion. Once in flower in the winter time, there is no doubt as to what it is.
