Sea Buckthorn

Latin Name : Hippophae rhamnoides

A large shrub or small native tree, the Sea Buckthorn copes with almost any soil. It has attractive narrow deciduous leaves which are silvery, and the female produces masses of orange berries, which other than Pheasants, other birds don’t like, so they last well decoratively speaking.

They also do very well dealing with the extremes of coastal regions.

But beware, they are not called a Sea buck THORN for nothing.
