Common name and Latin name are the same. A fast growing dense shrub, very popular as a low hedge, up to 1.8 M. Evergreen, and tolerates being cut back if necessary. Hardy, and forms a good hedge quite quickly. Green and yellow varieties commonly available as well as variegated. Used extensively in Disney World to quickly create ornamental shapes by growing them inside a framework. Originates from China.
