Flowering Quince or Japonica
Latin Name : Chaenomeles japonica.

One of the earliest flowering shrubs to brighten things up at the beginning of the year – and all the more unusual for being red. Thorny twigs so watch out, and quite large yellow fruit later on called ‘Quince’.
