The Azalea is from the plant family Ericaceae, and actually from within the Rhododendron group of plants, and in a variety of potential sizes, colours and leaf shapes. Some are evergreen, other deciduous, some scented, some not, and they can only put up withcertain soil types. So, a potential minefield or lottery without a bit of research first of all. However, few plants offer the quality of the “show” that an Azalea does.
