The Tupelo

Latin Name : Nyssa sylvatica

Not very often seen outside an Arboretum, Park or large garden, the Tupelo is a large tree originating from Canada and the ‘Americas’.

It’s a deciduous tree which at first glance has leaves not unlike a Beech Tree (Fagus sylvatica)

… but if you ever see one in the Autumn months, you will never forget it.
