Hedera helix

The Common Ivy is found everywhere. Often a nuisance that has to be removed from walls, guttering and trees, it has some very attractive species that can enhance your garden, both as climbing plants as well as for Groundcover. It does particularly well in those dark shady areas where nothing else will thrive.

This is called ‘Goldheart’

…. and this ‘Icecream’.

This groundcover variety is ‘Glacier’. Like all Ivys it does well in shady places and gives good groundcover under trees and shrubs.

Hedera canariensis is a large leaf species which has many uses both on the ground and up walls.
